MACON, Ga. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team swept RV Campbellsville University (Ky.) Monday afternoon, 4-0. The win brings the Owls to 2-3 on the season.
 
The Owls continue their spring break trip at No. 7 Middle Georgia State University on Tuesday, March 3, at 1 p.m.
 
Match Flow
The Owls jumped out to a 1-0 lead following doubles play as they won best two out of three. The Ariadna Jordan and Hannah Meyer duo in the No. 3 doubles finished first with a 6-2 score. Zlata Shuraeva and Ana Zavala grabbed the second needed point to give the Owls a 1-0 lead following doubles play with a 6-4 win in the No. 1 spot.
 
Zavala defeated her opponent in the No. 2 singles to give the Owls a 2-0 lead, 6-0 and 6-2. Alessa Cremer won the No. 6 singles with a 6-0 and 6-3 score, and Rukshika Wijesooriya grabbed the final point to sweep CU in the No. 3 singles, 6-2 and 6-4.
