FULTON, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team completed their third straight sweep with a 7-0 finish against McPherson College Sunday afternoon. The Owls improve to 4-3 on the season.

Rukshika Wijesooriya and Mireia Jordan in the No. 2 doubles held their opponent scoreless for the Owls first win. Ariadna Jordan and Hannah Meyer in the No. 3 doubles finished next with a 6-2 win, earning the doubles point with best two of three.

Ana Zavala earned a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 2 singles to give the Owls a 2-0 advantage. Alessa Cremer finished next, completing a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the No. 6 spot. A. Jordan won 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 5 singles, and Zlata Shuraeva's 6-4, 6-4 win in the No. 1 singles gave the Owls a 4-0 lead.

M. Jordan finished next with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 singles, and Wijesooriya pulled out the win in a deciding set to complete the sweep, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.

The Owls travel to No. 11 Lindsey Wilson on Friday, March 13, for a 2:30 p.m. start.
