Box Score CONWAY, Ark. – The William Woods University men's basketball team came up short in Thursday's comeback attempt at Central Baptist College. The 66-57 loss brings the Owls to 2-4 on the season with a 2-2 conference mark.

Game Flow
The Owls scored first with a made bucket from
Makenzie Fessler, but that would be the Owls' only lead of the game. CBC would score the next six to take a 6-2 lead four minutes in.
Two good free throws from Fessler with 12:11 on the clock brought the Owls within one, and a fast break layup from
Tyriel Nelson again brought the Owls within one on their next possession. CBC stayed a step ahead though and pushed their lead to six with 7:25 left in the first half, 24-18.
Nelson scored five on back-to-back plays to cut the game to one with 5:47 on the clock, but CBC put up four to take back a five-point lead.
Nelson again scored to bring the Owls within three with 3:54 left in the half, but CBC held the Owls scoreless for the rest of the half while putting up 12 in the final minutes to hold a 40-25 lead at the break.
Darius Yohe scored on the first play of the second half, and the Owls cut the game to single digits after
Spencer Yoggerst tallied five points within 30 seconds.
CBC pushed back out to a double-digit lead, but Fessler scored four followed by a bucket from
Codi Whitlock to cut the game to five with 11:29 on the clock, 49-44.
The Owls were one step behind, but with 7:29 on the board, Yoggerst hit a jumper in the paint to bring the team within three, 53-50.
The two teams traded points over the next two minutes, but CBC took up a seven-point lead after going 4-for-4 from the foul line, 62-55.
Yohe hit a bucket in the paint with 2:47 on the clock to bring the game within five, but the Owls were unable to score again in the final time while CBC scored four to end the game with a 66-57 loss.
