FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team had five players score in double figures Saturday in the 79-51 win over Hannibal-LaGrange University. The win brings the Owls to 3-6 on the season with a 3-4 conference mark.
The Owls next host Columbia College on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

Game Flow
The Owls took a 5-0 lead through the first 2 ½ minutes, but HLG's Grant Peters scored eight points to even the score just over five minutes in, 8-8.
HLG evened the score twice more before taking a three-point lead, but the Owls brought the game to the final minute of the half with a 16-0 run, leading 31-18. HLG finally broke their seven-minute silence with a good jumper with nine seconds to play.
The Owls possessed an 11-point lead heading into the break, 31-20.
Andrew Nett hit a three to start the second half, and
Jared Crutcher was fouled on his good bucket to add three more to the board, 37-20.
Three good free throws from Nett following a foul by the end line gave the Owls their first 20+ point lead with 12:55 on the clock, 49-28.
The Owls surged an 11-0 run fueled by two three-pointers from
Mike Robinson and five points from
Makenzie Fessler to take a 29-point lead with 8:04 on the clock, 62-33.
HLG cut the game to 23, but Robinson and Fessler again fueled the scoring to put the Owls back up by 28 with 3:19 to play, 70-42.
William Gibson hit a three from
Kevin Yang just under a minute to play to keep the Owls up by 28, and
Mahmadou Ngougheme scored the final points of the game off Gibson's assist to give the Owls a 79-51 win.
