FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team suffered a loss to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) Monday evening, 62-38. The Owls fall to 3-6 on the season.
The Owls begin conference play at home on Thursday, Dec. 2, with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off versus Stephens College.

Game Highlights
COFO jumped out to an 8-0 lead before
Amaya Keeling hit the Owls' only bucket of the first quarter to bring the game to 8-3 with 6:17 on the clock. COFO scored five more before the buzzer to head into the second quarter with the score sitting at 13-3.
The Owls outscored COFO 20-14 in the second quarter.
Katie Keilholz and
Sydney Booker combined for the first six points of the second quarter, cutting the game to four less than three minutes in, 13-9. A layup from Keeling followed by a three from
Olivia Hanks brought the Owls within one with 4:21 on the clock, 16-15. COFO scored five while holding the Owls scoreless over the next two minutes.
A traditional three-point play from Booker cut the game back to three, and a jumper from
Kiyanna Rodgers held the Owls within three, 23-20. Makenna Wuelling hit a three right before the buzzer to send the Owls into halftime down by just four, 27-23.
COFO outscored the Owls 35-15 in the second half, finishing the game with a 62-38 loss for the Owls.
