FAYETTE, Mo. – Sydney Booker recorded a double-double in Friday's New Year's Eve loss at No. 14 Central Methodist University.
The 74-40 loss drops the Owls to 3-9 on the season as the head into the 2022 year.
The Owls return to AMC play to finish out their remainder of the season, starting with a road game at Harris-Stowe State University on Thursday, Jan. 6. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.

Kasey Hazell hit an in-the-paint jumper after two minutes of play to put the Owls on the board. CMU answered with a 12-point run to take up a 17-point lead with two minutes remaining in the quarter, 19-2. The Owls scored seven in the final minute and a half to head into the second quarter trailing by 12, 21-9.
The Owls outscored CMU 15-13 in the second quarter, cutting the game to 10 points heading into halftime, 34-24. Hazell and
Sydney Booker each scored six points, and
Kiyanna Rodgers hit a three.
The Owls were held to just four points in the third quarter, all from Booker.
CMU ignited a 19-2 run through the first seven minutes of the final quarter before a three from
Taneigh Boyd cut it off.
Natalie Thomas followed with a three after a CMU turnover. The Owls were outscored 22-12 in the final quarter, ending with a 74-40 loss for the Owls.
