ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team moves to 5-0 in American Midwest Conference play following Thursday evening's 3-0 sweep over Harris-Stowe State University. Overall, the Owls are 5-2.
The Owls won 25-14, 25-8, 25-10.
The Owls next face no. 6 Columbia College on Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m.

HSSU started the match with a 6-3 lead, but the Owls strung together an 8-0 run with kills from five different attackers and two aces from
Hannah Kuehl to take an 11-6 lead. After HSSU evened the score at 12 all, the Owls pushed an 8-1 run to go up 20-13. After a WWU service error to give HSSU their 14
th point, the Owls scored five straight to win the first set 25-14.
The Owls blasted an 8-0 run to start set two with two aces from
Lauren Hiestand in there. The Owls went on to take a 14-2 lead. The allowed HSSU just eight points throughout the set, winning it 25-8.
Two aces from
Emma Doherty helped give the Owls a 5-0 start to set three. The Owls went on to take up a 20-6 lead. After allowing HSSU to score four more, the Owls ended the match with a 25-10 set three win.
