ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team had their season conclude in the quarterfinals round of the American Midwest Conference Championship Saturday evening. The Owls entered the tournament as the six seed and lost 3-0 to three-seeded Missouri Baptist.
The team concludes their season with a 5-9-3 overall record.
Missouri Baptist will now advance to the semifinals round and face two-seeded Columbia College on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
How It Happened
The AMC Freshman of the Year Marko Dordevic scored just seven minutes into the game to put the Owls down 1-0. Dordevic added a second goal in the 31
st minute, giving MBU a 2-0 lead at halftime.
MBU added a third goal in the 88
th minute.
Iker Gonzalez made four stops in goal. The Owls fired off seven shots with four landing on goal.
