FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team fell to No. 7 Langston University Monday afternoon, 70-58. The Owls drop to 7-6 on the season while Langston remains undefeated with a 13-0 mark.

The Owls have one more game before closing out the calendar year. They face Rockhurst University for an exhibition game on Friday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m.

Fred Robinson led the Owls offensive efforts with 16 points. 11 of his points came in the second half.

After a back-and-fourth beginning, Langston pushed a 20-4 run to put them up by 17 with 6:57 left in the half, 28-11.
Back-to-back buckets from
Jared Crutcher and two free throws from
Abdulh Diaby brought the Owls within 10, and a three from
Fred Robinson cut the game to nine heading into halftime, 37-28.
A three from
Karter Koenig and a jumper from Crutcher kicked off the second half, cutting the Owls' deficit to four two minutes in, 37-33.
Langston pushed an 11-0 run to go up by 14 six minutes in, 52-38.
Back-to-back threes from Koenig and a jumper from Diaby cut the game to nine with 8:17 on the clock, and a three from Schwartze brought the Owls within eight with just over seven to play, 60-52.
The Owls were unable to get back within single digits, falling 70-58.
