FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team breezed past Hannibal-LaGrange University Saturday afternoon for a 63-35 win. The Owls improve to 3-6 on the season while grabbing their first conference win.

The Owls take an almost two-week hiatus from play. They return to play at Stephens College on Thursday, Dec. 15, with a 5:30 p.m. tip.

The Owls jumped out to a 6-0 lead just two minutes in, and a three from
Katie Keilholz with 4:24 to play put the Owls up by nine, 13-4. A jumper from
Sydney Booker with just under a minute to play gave the Owls a double-digit lead, but HLG scored last to send the game into the second quarter with the Owls leading 17-8.
The Owls kicked off the second quarter with an 11-2 run to take an 18-point lead just over halfway through, 28-10. The Owls maintained the lead, and a jumper from Booker just before the buzzer sent the Owls into halftime with a 17-point lead, 33-16.
The Owls outscored HLG 21-6 in the third quarter, finishing a 17-0 run over a four-minute period to take a 32-point lead, 52-20. The Owls led 54-22 heading into the final 10 minutes.
HLG outscored the Owls 13-9 in the final quarter, ending the game with a 63-35 win.
