BATESVILLE, Ark. – The William Woods University softball team splits with Lyon College Saturday afternoon. The team moves to 20-19 on the season and 9-7 in conference play.

The Owls will close regular season at home on Tuesday, Apr. 26 for a double header at home against Missouri Baptist. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
 
Game One
The Owls defeated Lyon in five innings, 12-4.

• Emma Taylor went 3 for 4. She scored three runs.
• Celeste Sermeno went 2 for 4. She scored one run and added two RBIs.
• Sydney Wilbeck and Annika Ramon each scored one run.
• Mallory Feldewerth went 2 for 3. She scored two runs and recorded three RBIs.
• Alexis Hassler went 3 for 3. She scored one run and had two RBIs.
• Arianna Donovan went 1 for 2. She scored one run and had five RBIs.
• Devyn Burton and Ally Mahoney each scored one run.

Alexis Hassler (5-2) pitched 5.0 innings and was credited with the win on the mound. She struck out four and allowed seven hits and four runs.
 
Game Two
The Owls fell to Lyon in five innings, 12-2.

• Celeste Sermeno went 3 for 3, with two homers. She scored the only two runs of the game and also added two RBIs.
• Emma Taylor went 1 for 3.
• Katie Gaus went 1 for 2.

Kalee Wall took the loss on the loss the mound. She pitched 2.0 innings and struck out one while allowing six hits and seven runs.
 
Ashlyn Towery pitched 2.1 innings. She struck out one and allowed two hits and five runs.
