No. 10 Men’s Tennis Tops No. 19 NCAA D2 McKendree

LEBANON, Ill. – The No. 10 William Woods University men's tennis team topped 19^th-ranked NCAA Division II McKendree University Saturday evening, 5-2.

The Owls improve to 4-1 on the season with a three-game winning streak, and Patrick Shelepov tied the career singles record with his 49^th singles win.

The Owls won five of six singles to grab the win over McKendree.
Vaclav Schneider won 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) in the one spot.
Vitek Subert grabbed a 6-3, 6-2 win in the two spot.
Ben Grumley won 6-1, 6-1 in the three spot.
Zinovii Nahirniak won 7-5, 6-4 in the four spot.
Patrick Shelepov won 6-4, 6-3 in the five spot.
Marco Salamanca de Arcos was the lone singles loss for the Owls, falling 6-3, 6-2 in the six.

Patrick Shelepov and Zinovii Nahirniak finished first, ending with a 6-1 loss in the two spot.
Vaclav Schneider and Vitek Subert finished next, falling 6-3 in the one spot. McKendree clinched the doubles point with the win.
Ben Grumley and Robert Schorr won the lone doubles set in the three, 6-4.

The Owls host the Winter Smash on Saturday, Feb. 25. They first host Concordia University (Neb.) at 12 p.m.
