SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 11 William Woods University men's tennis team defeated NCAA Division II Drury University Saturday afternoon, 5-2. The win brings the Owls to 2-1 on the season.
The Owls face Ottawa University (Kan.) on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.
- Patrick Shelepov finished first in singles play, picking up an easy 6-2, 6-2 win in the four singles.
- Zinovii Nahirniak finished next, picking up a 6-4, 7-5 win in the three singles.
- Macro Salamanca de Arcos grabbed the Owls' fourth point in the six singles, winning 6-3, 6-4.
- Andres De Los Rios Kolekewska won the final point for the Owls with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win in the five singles.
