BETHANY, Okla. - Having less than 24 hours turnaround between matches proved a tough hurdle for William Woods, as the Owls dropped a result at Southwestern Christian University on Saturday.
William Woods had a handful of good chances early in the match, earning a corner in the second minute and forcing the Eagles goalkeeper into saves in the 11th, 14th and 16th minute, but the Owls found themselves chasing the match in the 19th minute after surrendering a goal on a corner kick.
SCU added a second goal in the 24th minute, and struck for its third goal in the 42nd. The Owls weren't able to find a comeback in the second half, as the final scoreline ended 6-0.
WWU finishes out its three-game road swing on Wednesday night, taking on Evangel University at 6 p.m.
