COLUMBIA, Mo. - Kassidy Phillips's nine-kill performance was the lone bright spot for William Woods (14-7, 1-3 AMC) on Thursday night, as the Owls struggled to find a rhythm in a 3-0 (18-25, 14-25, 19-25) loss to Columbia (16-3, 4-0 AMC). WWU managed four service aces on the night, but gave up seven reception errors and committed 19 attack errors against just 22 kills.
The Owls have a brief respite from conference play, hosting College of the Ozarks on Weds., Oct. 4 at 6 p.m.
