FULTON, Mo. - William Woods University (1-10) closed out their inaugural season with a match against Heart of America Conference South Division opponent #9 Benedictine College (9-2). The Owls fell to the Ravens by a score of 86-0.
BC began with the ball, but the Woods' defense was all over them on the opening drive, forcing a punt after just three plays. However, a fumble on offense gave the ball back to Benedictine, who got on the board early with by field goal with 10:24 left in the first quarter. With a shot at the Heart of America regular season title, the Ravens kept their foot on the gas all game. William Woods was unable to score despite some promising drives, dropping their final game of season #1 86-0.

Gabe Serri threw for 109 yards on the afternoon, 33 of them coming by way of receiver
Matthew Segovia on five receptions.
Troy Oliver added three receptions for 28 yards.
Clarence Jackson led the way for the defensive unit with 10 tackles.
An exciting year comes to a close as William Woods ends their first football season ever, finishing with a record of 1-10. The future is promising for the Owls, who will look to come back next year and build off of an excellent foundation laid by coach Mendez and his crew.
