FULTON, Mo. - William Woods University had a total of 11 student-athletes eligible for recognition as Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for men's and women's basketball.  

"One of the key things that we try to emphasize throughout our department is that the most important part of representing William Woods Athletics is putting the 'student' in student-athlete first," said director of athletics Steve Wilson. "Seeing these 11 student-athletes find success both on and off the court is a testament to that commitment and sets the right tone for all of our teams to follow."

To be eligible for recognition as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the institution.
