Okwuosah Selected to Small College Basketball Top 100 Players

FULTON, Mo.- Every year Small College Basketball, a premier source for all information regarding collegiate basketball at every level that is not NCAA DI, awards the best overall player in NCAA DII, DIII, and NAIA the Bevo Francis award. The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.  This is an incredibly prestigious award, as this award will only be given to one player in Small College Basketball per season. 

Today, William Woods University's own Francis Okwuosah was recognized in the top 100 players to watch for the Bevo Francis award. Okwuosah, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., is averaging 15.1 pts, 7.7 reb, 2 ast, per game while shooting 50% from the field. Francis' contributions have been key in helping the Owls reach the #22 spot in the latest NAIA top 25 poll, the Owls highest ranking in school history.  

Small College Basketball releases four watch lists, the first including the top 100 players in small college basketball. Each proceeding release cuts the field in half with the eventual winner being selected on April 7.
