ST. LOUIS - William Woods University had five division winners:
Isabelle Cordova-Guerrero (recurved college women),
Kylie Hayes (compound college women),
Paige Potteiger (barebow college women),
Emma Agers (fixed pins college women) and
Garrett Crocker (fixed pins college men) in the Missouri Archery Association on Jan. 18 at Crossroads College Prep School.
Cordova Guerrero scored 462 points (235 Round 1, 227 Round 2) to top the recurved college women's leaderboard.
In compound college women, WWU's Hayes tallied 489 points (273 Round 1, 216 Round 2) to place first, and
Ella Hinson 451 (249 Round 1, 202 Round 2) to finish second.
With three Owls in the top three, Potteiger posted 463 points (215 Round 1, 248 Round 2) to take first,
Megan Bachand 268 (125 Round 1, 163 Round 2) for second and
Dessa Paige Scott 71 (40 Round 1, 31 Round 2) for third in barebow college women.
Last but not least of the women's events, The Woods competed in fixed pins college. Agers received first-place honors with 574 points (284 Round 1, 290 Round 2), and
Abigail Keilholz second place with 451 (251 Round 1, 200 Round 2).
On the men's side, the Owls' Crocker placed first with 595 points (297 Round 1, 298 Round 2) in fixed pins,
Connor Hess second with 556 (282 Round 1, 274 Round 2),
Tyler Winslett third with 550 (275 Round 1, 275 Round 2) and
Caleb Hayes fourth with 539 (265 Round 1, 274 Round 2).
William Woods concludes its 2024-25 campaign in USA Archery Nationals from Feb. 21-23 at DuPage Events Center & Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois.
