ST. LOUIS, Mo.- William Woods women's basketball (2-10, 2-5 Heart) continues to struggle offensively as they drop their tenth game of the season at former AMC opponent University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) (5-7) on Thursday night.  

The Owls trailed by three after the opening quarter and went into the half facing a 27–30 deficit, despite outscoring UHSP in the second period. William Woods stayed within striking distance in the second half, scoring 16 points in the third and 21 in the fourth, but UHSP's 24-point final quarter proved to be the difference. 

Mariah Prince led all William Woods scorers with a strong all-around performance, finishing with 18 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, four assists, and a block in 39 minutes. Jersee Wren added 17 points and four assists, while Mya Pflasterer chipped in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Princess Brown also reached double figures with 10 points. 

Morgan Scott's Owls head into the break with a mountain of an exhibition game to climb on Jan. 30th at Southeast Missouri State. If you can't make the game, a live stream will be available on ESPN+.
