Owls Place Third at Larry Young Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo.- William Woods Women's Cross Country team ran in their second event of the year at the Larry Young Invitational hosted by Columbia College. The Woods placed third in the event held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course, the site for the 2024 NAIA Cross Country National Championships.  

Woods was led by Crystal Ruden, who finished in third place with a 19:44.11 time. Sarah Kirby, the second-place finisher for the Owls and tenth overall, came in with a time of 20:58.21. Sophomore Sydney Grubb finished two slots behind Kirby with a time of 21:11.28 to round out the top three for the Woods. Also counting times Kathryn Hirtz and Gretchen Marriott who ran times of 21:46.25 and 22:08.66 respectively.
