FULTON, Mo. – William Woods (5-15, 2-10 Heart) men's basketball fell to Missouri Valley on Wednesday night at Missouri Valley (14-6, 8-4 Heart).
William Woods' offense would struggle to find consistency through much of the first half as the Vikings would take advantage through much of the first quarter. With their offense struggling, the Owls headed into the half being held to just 21 points and trailing 48-21.
The Owls would come out of the half clicking immediately and find their rhythm on the offensive side of the ball, outscoring the Vikings 52-33 in the second half. Despite the second-half fire from the Owls, Woods would fall to the Vikings at the final buzzer, 81-73.
Jacob LaBounty would continue his tear and lead the Owls with 18 points and 4 rebounds, while
Demarco Buchanan would put up a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Clay Butler would also give good minutes off the bench, putting up 13 points
With that, the Owls are set to return Saturday as they travel to Culver-Stockton to play the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
