MARSHALL, Mo.- William Woods men's tennis hit the road on Thursday afternoon to take on Missouri Valley College. The nationally ranked Owls handled business, taking a dominating 7-0 win against the Heart of America Conference opponent.  

Woods swept the doubles point with all three-pairings taking their matchups. The top pairing of Duarte Melo and Noah Burton carried a strong set to a 6-3 victory while the #3 duo of Bruno Matta and Jesper Seger clinched the point for the Owls on a 6-2 scoreline. Cole Horton and Tobias Hajek also won their matchup at #2 doubles but did not count towards match score.  

William Woods swept all singles matches on the way to their 7-0 victory. In order, Melo, Horton, Burton, Tomas Guadagni, Thomas Geukemeijer, and Aoi Ooka each won their matchups in consecutive sets.   

The Owls await their seeding for the Heart of America Conference tournament in Kansas City, Mo., which will act as their next match.
