Donndre Smith enters his first year at William Woods University as an assistant basketball coach. This is his fifth season overall in coaching.
Prior to William Woods University, Smith served as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Stephens College for one season. Smith also served as an Assistant Basketball Coach at his Alma Mater, Hickman High School before being promoted to Head Junior Varsity Coach in his third year at Hickman High School. Smith is currently a Special Education Teacher at Battle High School in Columbia, Missouri.
In the summer, Smith spends a lot of time coaching his Middle School AAU team, Porter Basketball Academy, and his High School AAU Team, Michael Porter Jr. Elite, which is sponsored by Puma. Prior to coaching, Smith started his collegiate playing career at Missouri Valley and ended his career at Westminster College.
At Westminster College, Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health & Wellness with a Minor in Coaching in 2016. Donndre Smith is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Smith moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2008 and graduated from Hickman High school in 2011. Smith and his wife reside in Columbia, Missouri with their two kids.
