Mike Gombos enters his first year as the men's basketball graduate assistant. He is coming to Woods after spending the last two years in Junior College.
He served this past year at USC Salkehatchie in Walterboro, SC, and the year prior at Grand Rapids Community College.
While at USC Salkehatchie, Coach Gombos worked with G-DJ Sinkler: 1st Team All-Region X, G-Damontrez Ruffin: 2nd Team All-Region X, G-Cincere Scott: 1st Team All Freshman.
Mike was born and raised in Troy, Mich., and went on to graduate from Grand Valley University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Advertising and Public Relations. Here at William Woods he will be pursuing his MED in Athletics/Activities Administration.
