Kasey Gatson enters her second year as a Graduate Assistant for Women’s Basketball.
Prior to joining the Owls Coaching Staff, Gatson was a women’s basketball player at Westminster College. During her time at Westminster, the Blue Jays were two time SLIAC Champions, won one SLIAC Tournament Championship and advanced to one NCAA Tournament Appearance.
Gatson was a three-year caption and was named First Team All-Conference and led the SLIAC in three-point shooting percentage her junior year. During her senior year she was named First Team All-Conference, All-Tournament Team and All-Defensive Team.
Besides being successful on the basketball court, Gatson was named 2016 SLIAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. The Blue Jays women’s basketball team achieved the number one GPA in the WBCA Top 25 Honor Roll her Sophomore year. They also ranked No. 4 during her freshman season, No. 16 as a junior and No. 2 her senior season.
She graduated from Westminster with a degree in Secondary Business Education. While at William Woods, Gatson is pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurial Leadership.
