Saidhbh Collins a native of Dublin, Ireland, enters her first year as Assistant Coach for the Owls Women's Soccer Program. She is a recent graduate of the M.Ed. Athletic Administration program here at Woods, graduating in April of this year.
She graduated in 2015 from Clayton State University with a B.S. degree in Health & Fitness Management with a minor in business. Collins played four seasons at Clayton State University in the Division II Peach Belt Conference. She appeared in 66 career matches as a defender and made 57 starts. With the Lakers, she won a regular season title and conference tournament and reached the first round of the NCAA tournament. She tallied nine goals and 14 assists as well as earning PBC defender of the week. During her time a CSU Collins was a coach at TYSA and involved in various aspects of the club.
Collins joined the Francis Marion University Patriot’s staff in 2016 spring season as an assistant coach.
Before coming to the US, she played for Sacred Heart Secondary School in Drogheda, Ireland and captained both junior and senior squads, earning player of the year in her senior year. She also competed at the club level for St. Francis FC, helping the team to multiple Irish League and Cup Championships. Collins also played in the group stages of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
