Danielle Marques

Danielle Marques enters her second year as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Owls Volleyball team.
 
Originally from Brazil, Marques started playing volleyball at eight years old and at 20 earned a full scholarship to the University of Texas at Brownsville.
 
While at Texas at Brownsville, Marques was named Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2013. She helped lead Texas at Brownsville to three straight conference titles in 2012, 2013 and 2014. During the 2013 season, Texas at Brownsville capped off an undefeated season (37-0) by winning the NAIA National Championship in three sets (27-25, 27-25, 25-22) over Biola (Calif.)
 
During the 2014 season, Texas at Brownsville finished NAIA Runner-Up as they were defeated in the championship. They finished with a record of 34-5.
 
Marques graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville with her communications degree with a minor in Business Administration.
 
Marques is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration.
