Garrett Case

Case joined the Owls Volleyball program in December of 2021. He comes to WWU after spending four seasons as the assistant coach then associate head coach with Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
 
Case was named the Associate Head Coach at CMU prior to the 2021 season. He helped lead the Eagles to a 111-28 overall record and the NAIA National Championship every year while on the coaching staff including the program's first appearance in 2018.
 
Case was named the Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year after helping to lead CMU to a 29-9 overall record and a fourth-straight appearance in the NAIA National Championship in 2021. He was also tabbed the Heart Assistant Coach of the Year. 
 
In the 2019-20 season, Case proved an integral part in leading the Eagles to a 33-4 overall record. The record tied for the fewest losses in school history while setting the highest single-season winning percentage in school history (.892). The squad also reached the highest national ranking in program history after being tabbed at No. 10 in the final national poll.  
 
CMU secured its second consecutive trip the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship, finishing in the Round of 16 after securing the program's first ever appearance in bracket play. The Eagles earned an automatic bid to the final site after topping Grand View in a five-set thriller, earning the program's first conference tournament title since 2003. 
 
Case has coached six NAIA All-Americans, one Heart Player of the Year, two Heart Freshman of the Year, 10 All-Region selections and 28 Heart All-Conference athletes through four seasons with the program.  
 
Prior to Central Methodist, Case spent one season as the assistant coach at Seward County Community College. In his lone season on the bench, he helped lead the team to a 33-2 mark, the Western Jayhawk Conference Championship and a No. 3 national ranking. Case also produced five All-Region athletes with one 1st Team All-American. 
 
Case also has experience at the NCAA D-I level, serving the Missouri State volleyball program for four seasons. After spending three seasons as the Bears manager, Case spent 2016 as a volunteer assistant. While at Missouri State, Case worked with statistical analysis and video breakdown, as well as aiding in practice and camps. 
 
Outside of the college ranks, Case has also coached at the club level for the past six seasons, leading the 417 Juniors Columbia at the 15 National, 16 National and 18 National levels to top 20 rankings inside the region. In addition to serving as a coach at 417, Case also remains the Director of Player Development, which places him in charge of all weekly positional trainings for the club. 
 
Case is a graduate of Missouri State University, where he graduated with a degree in Sociology, while also holding a minor in Biomedical Sciences.Â
