The transfer junior earned William Woods first ever NAIA Men's Wrestling All-American honors with a seventh place finish at the 2026 Men's Wrestling Championship hosted in Wichita, Kansas. Wetzel had a stellar season for the Owls young program, carrying the team to several team wins and the first ever dual win for William Woods.
