The William Woods University women's soccer team dropped an American Midwest Conference match at Park University Wednesday night.  The Pirates defeated the Owls 3-0.
 
Park scored all three of its goals in the first half.  Dana Hemmingsen scored in the 11^th, 17^th and 32^nd minute for the Pirates.
 
William Woods recorded six shots on the night.  The Owls placed three shots on goal.  Stephanie Kirvan (Sunrise Beach, Mo.) led the Owls with three shots (two on goal).  Kelly Abernathy (St. Charles, Mo.) had three saves in goal for WWU.
 
Park recorded 12 shots on the evening.  Six of the Pirate shots were on goal.
 
Park improves to 7-7 on the season and 5-2 in the AMC.  William Woods falls to 7-7-1 on the year and 6-3 in league play.
 
The Owls return to action October 25.  They host AMC rival Missouri Baptist University.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7 pm on Firley Field.
