OLATHE, Kan.— Woods women's soccer (8-4-1, 2-7-2 Heart) dropped a 7-0 contest with #15 MidAmerica Nazarene (10-3-2, 7-3-1 Heart) on Tuesday afternoon. The Neers took a commanding lead early, and road that advantage to the final horn.
MNU found their opener just over three minutes into the contest. The second goal didn't take much longer as the Pioneers found the second goal of the match in the 27th minute of play.
Woods placed two shots on frame in the closing minutes of the half but were turned away. Heading into the intermission, the Owls faced a two-goal deficit.
The Pioneer offense found their stride in the second half, scoring in the 54th, 57th, 62nd, and 67th minutes coming out of the half. MNU tacked on a late insurance goal in the 78th minute but was unneeded as the Neers defense held firm in the 7-0 victory.
The Owls are back in action this weekend at Benedictine College.
