Hannibal, Mo. -- Despite holding Hannibal-LaGrange scoreless in the first half, William Woods women's soccer team fell 1-0 in today's AMC Tournament semi-final match. The Owls succumbed to a 57th-minute goal from Fernanda Miaci, and were unable to level the score before the final whistle.

Goalkeeper Kelly Abernathy (St. Charles, Mo.) collected five saves on the afternoon, but it would not be enough to prolong the Owls' season. WWU finishes the 2011 season with a record of 8-9-2.
