The William Woods University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Missouri Valley College Saturday afternoon. The Owls fall to 2-2-1 with the loss.
Missouri Valley (3-1-1) took a 1-0 lead into the half on a goal from Breann Kinworthy. The Vikings added two more goals in the second half en route to the victory.
MVC outshot the Owls 24-7 for the match. The Vikings put 13 shots on goal. William Woods had one shot on goal.
Kelsey Sanders (Jefferson City, Mo.) led the Owls with four shot attempts.

The Owls return to action September 14. WWU makes its first road trip of the season. William Woods travels to Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 pm.
