The William Woods University women's soccer team will host American Midwest Conference rival Harris-Stowe State University Saturday afternoon. The Owls and Hornets kick-off at 4 pm.

The Owls are coming off a 2-1 loss at Central Methodist University Wednesday night. CMU scored twice in the opening half to take a 2-0 halftime advantage.
Kelsey Sanders cut the deficit in half in the 66th minute. Sanders scored off an assist from
Stephanie Kirvan. The Owls shutout CMU in the second half but were unable to find the equalizer. The Owls enter the match 2-3-1 on the season and 1-0 in AMC play.
Harris-Stowe enters the match 0-5-1 on the year and 0-1 in league play. The Hornets are coming off a 3-1 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange University on September 15.
The Owls and Hornets met twice last season. The Owls won 6-1 in Fulton, Mo., on October 9. They won 5-0 in St. Louis, Mo., on September 18.
William Woods leads the all-time series between the two schools 22-1. The lone victory for the Hornets came in 1996.
The Owls return to action September 20. WWU will travel to Hannibal-LaGrange University for a 4 pm AMC match-up.
