The Owls are coming off a pair of shutout victories over the weekend. WWU defeated American Midwest Conference newcomer Benedictine University-Springfield 5-0 on September 2. They earned a 2-0 decision on September 3 versus University of the Ozarks. Kelsey Sanders recorded a hat-trick and an assist in the victory over BU-Springfield. Caty Newbold anchored the Owls defense in both matches and was rewarded with AMC Defensive Player of the Week honors. WWU enters tonight's match 2-1 on the year.
Culver-Stockton College enters tonight's match 0-2 on the year. They are coming of a 3-2 overtime loss to College of St. Mary on September 4.
The Owls and Wildcats met on October 17 last season. The Wildcats came away with a 2-1 victory. CSC leads the all-time series between the two schools 4-2.
William Woods will return to action on September 10. The Owls host Missouri Valley College at 1 pm on Firley Field.
