FULTON, Mo.—The William Woods University women's soccer team was unable to collect its third consecutive win on Wednesday night, as the Owls fell to Culver-Stockton College, 2-0.

In the 16
th minute, WWU had a chance for goal, as the ball was pushed forward for
Jordan McNamara inside the 18 yard box and the senior attempted to tip the ball around the Wildcat goalie, Abby Mikesell, but she was able to grab onto the ball before it went around her to make the save.

In the second half, the Wildcats offensive pressure continued and it finally paid off, as after a foul on a WWU player, on a set piece from the left side of the field, Sydnie Martin placed the ball perfectly inside the 18 yard box, onto a cutting Leah Miller's foot, who was able to kick in her shot past Parisi and give them a 1-0 advantage.

th minute, but after a solid effort, her shot went just wide of the net. In the 79
th minute, the Wildcats extended its lead out to 2-0, as Kira McGrotty scored her second goal on the year.
The Owls looked for a late push in the final 11:00 minutes of action, but the Wildcats defense slowed down the WWU offense, which combined for eight goals in its last two outings and they were able to hang on for the shutout win.
