Volleyball Hosts Stephens and Vanguard on Thursday and Friday

FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University Volleyball team hosts Stephens College on October 20 in an American Midwest Conference matchup, and Vanguard University on October 21 in a non-conference matchup. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls are 16-10 overall and are 6-2 in AMC play, which places the Owls number four in AMC standings
- The Owls are 21st in the nation in digs with 1744. Jessica Jensen still Leads the Owls with 474, averaging 4.89 digs per set. Jensen ranks 37th in the nation in digs and 48th in the nation in digs per set.
- Brittney Engelbrecht is has dished out 926 assists, placing her 19th in the nation. As a whole, the Owls are ranked 42nd with 1102 assists
- Stephanie Davis leads the Owls in hitting percentage with at hitting percentage of 0.320, and has 60 blocks on the season. Her hitting percentage is the 33rd best in the NAIA.
- Victoria Day still leads the Owls in kills with 290 and teammate Tory Wiley right behind her with 239 kills. Stephanie Davis follows with 232 on the season have three Owls above 200 kills on the season.

- The Stars enter the match with an overall 7-20 record and a 2-6 AMC record. Their last matchup was against No. 6 team in the nation, Park University with Park defeating Stephens 3-0
- Danielle Craven leads the Stars in assists and is also ranked 46th in the nation in assists with 790. She had a career high of 60 in a match against Crowley's Ridge on Oct. 15th. Craven also leads in aces with 30 on the season

- The Lions will be traveling to St. Louis to play Missouri Baptist at 2 p.m., then traveling to Fulton to play the Owls at 7 p.m.
- Juanae Johnson leads the Lions in kills with 258 on the season. She collected a season-high of 25 kills against San Diego Christian on September 6th.
- Rebecca Lowden leads in aces with a total of 27 and also leads in digs, collecting 339 in the season. Lowden collected a season high five aces on October 15th against Arizona Christian. She has had four matches with three or more aces
- As a team, Vanguard is hitting .190 on the season. This season they hit .451 against Life Pacific College on September 16th.
- The Lions recorded a season high 59 kills against Biola on October 4th. They hit .191 on the match against Vanguard.

What's Next
The Owls will travel to St. Louis, Mo. to play No. 14 Missouri Baptist in AMC action on Tuesday, October 25th. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
