Volleyball Host College of the Ozarks on Saturday

FULTON, Mo.—The William Woods University Volleyball team hosts College of the Ozarks on Saturday October, 29 at 2 p.m. at Anderson Arena. It is also senior day for the Owls seniors, who will be honored on the day.
 
The Owls and Bobcats met earlier this season at the College of the Ozarks, on September 15th. The Owls came away with a 3-2 (22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 29-27, 15-10) win over the College of the Ozarks. 

About the Owls
- The Owls have an overall record of 18-12 and an AMC record of 8-3. The Owls are coming off a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-21) victory over Harris-Stowe University on Thursday night.
- Freshman Jessica Jensen continues to lead the Owls in digs with 538 digs which ranks her at 35th in the nation, the Owls are top 30 in the nation in both digs per game with 17.6 as well as collecting 1,971 digs as a team
- Brittney Engelbrecht continues to add to her assists as she holds 1,064 assists on the season placing her top 20 in the nation in assists
- Victoria Day leads the Owls in kills with 328 in the season.
- Stephanie Davis is 43rd in the nation in hitting percentage with a 0.309 and 265 kills in the season and has collected 72 blocks
- William Woods has 171 services aces on the season. Leading the way is Brittney Engelbrecht with 32. Victoria Day and Jessica Jensen follow with 30 apiece. The Owls have five players with 20 or more aces on the season

About the Bobcats
- The Bobcats enter the match with an overall record of 23-11 and an Independent conference record of 6-0.
- The Bobcats lead in three of the six categories of team leaders in the Independent Conference
- Haley Stallings is number one in the nation in digs per game with 7.14 and is also number two in the nation in total digs with 843 digs in the season.
- The Bobcats are top ten in digs (2,773), digs per game, (23.5), kills per game (13.98), kills (1,650), as well as assists (1,452)
- Alex Spears leads the Bobcats in kills with 277, her career high was 18 kills against WWU earlier this season

What's Next
The Owls will be on the road for their last two matches of the season playing Evangel University, for the second time this season, on November 11 at 7 p.m. in Springfield, Missouri and wrapping their regular season play against No. 6 Park University on November 3 at 7 p.m. in Parkville, Missouri.
