ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University Women's Basketball team used a season-high 12 three-pointers en route to a 71-48 victory over Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on Thursday night in an American Midwest Conference action.

Leading the three point attack for the Owls was
Kelsey Scherder, who hit four three pointers, all in the first half of the contest,
Kailey Morris followed hitting three shots from behind the arc. This was the third time this season the Owls have made 10 or more threes in a contest.

Game FlowThe Owls were off to a slow start in the first quarter as they went the first three minutes scoreless. After they broke the scoreless streak, William Woods offense started to pick up as they scored 26 points in the first quarter. The Owls stretched its lead to 38-20 at halftime. As a team the Owls shot 40 percent in the first half of the contest.

The Owls extended its lead in the third quarter as they outscored Pharmacy, 22-9, in the third quarter. William Woods grew the lead to 60-29 after the third quarter. Pharmacy slowly battled back in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Owls, 19-11, but it was not enough as William Woods won, 71-48.
