FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team won its fourth straight contest with a 11 point victory, 76-65, over Lindenwood University-Belleville on Tuesday night in American Midwest Conference (AMC) action.

Julia Wells led a trio of Owls in double-figures as she scored 17 points and Wells led the team with 11 rebounds.
Kennedy Volkart followed with 16 points and
Bailey Rollins rounded out the double-figure scorers with 14 points.

Game FlowThe Owls came out fast in the contest as they raced out to a 10-4 lead after a
Bailey Rollins three pointer. However, the Lynx answered back tying the game at 10-10. With the game tied at 10, WWU scored the next seven points, 17-10.

William Woods led by four points, 19-14, heading into the second quarter, but the Lynx continued to battle and trimmed the lead down to one point, 24-23, after a Kindra Brown jumper. The lead stayed with three points until 2:40 left in the half. Over the next two minutes, WWU hit two three pointers taking its lead back to 10 points. William Woods went into halftime leading of 41-32.

The Owls continued to lead by double-figures early in the second half, however, Lindenwood-Belleville answered by going on a 6-0 run trimming the lead to four points, 46-42. The Lynx continued to battle but the Owls stretched the lead back to eight points, 57-49, at the end of the third quarter.

A layup by
Nia Lateju extended the lead to 14 points, 63-49, with seven minutes left in the contest. Lindenwood-Belleville trimmed the lead down to seven points but that was as close as they would get in the contest as the Owls stretched the lead to 11 points, 76-65, for the victory.
