HANNIBAL, Mo. - A game-high 22 points and nine rebounds from Kevin House wasn't enough, as William Woods lost a tough American Midwest Conference contest to Hannibal-LaGrange University, 78-72. The Owls shot 40 percent from the floor in the contest.

Deon Pettigrew added 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor for the Owls (15-9, 11-5 AMC), with Austin Lowery rounding out the double figure scorers with 11 points, however WWU shot just 40-percent from the floor in the loss.

Game Flow
The Owls scored the first five points of the contest, however, the Trojans (5-14, 4-11) responded with a 10-0 run, taking a five-point lead after a Tim Pace 3-pointer, pushing the lead to 20-10 with nine minutes remaining in the half.

WWU answered with an 8-0 run to cut the margin to two and settled for a 35-29 deficit at the break.

The hosts broke away early in the second half, as a Brandon Eschenbach jumper extended the lead to 45-31.  The Owls did not quit, as a House triple capped a 15-3 surge that got WWU within 48-46 - but could not get closer.

The Owls return to action on Thursday, Feb. 11 when they travel to St. Louis, Mo. to face Saint Louis College of Pharmacy in an AMC conference contest. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
