FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods Volleyball team hosts No. 10 MidAmerica Nazerene University on August 30, at 7 p.m. at Anderson Arena. This is the second top 25 team the Owls have squared off against at Anderson Arena. Â
About the Owls
- The Owls come off a split both days at the Viking Invitational. For her performance at the Viking Invite,
Brittney Engelbrecht was named to the Viking Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Victoria Day, a transfer from Culver-Stockton College leads the Owls with 54 kills.

Jessica Jensen, a freshman from Tri-Valley high school in Downs, Illinois leads the Owls with 77 digs in the season.

About the Pioneers
- The Pioneers come off a sweep at the Robert Morris Invitational as they only dropped two sets at the Invite. MidAmerica Nazarene defeated Saint Francis (Ind.), Robert Morris (Ill.), Harris-Stowe (Mo.) and IU East (Ind.).
- Gisele Silva, a senior, leads the Pioneers in kills with 81, averaging four kills per set. Silva ranks 30th in the nation for kills and 21st in kills per set.
- Tashley Snyder, another senior, leads the Pioneers in digs with 62 in the season.
- As a team the Pioneers are ranked ninth in the nation in blocks per set, 2.5. They ranked 12th in total blocks with 56 on the season.
- The Pioneers are 6-0 for the 2016 season.
Road Trip
- After hosting MidAmerica Nazarene on Tuesday, the Owls do not return to Anderson Arena until September 21st when they host Missouri Valley at 7 p.m.
- After Tuesday, the Owls will play 12 straight away from Anderson Arena, including traveling to two different Tournaments.
Playing Ranked Opponents
- This is the Owls second match playing a ranked team in the Top 25. In its other match this season, the Owls were defeated by Evangel.
- Two more matches are left to be played in Anderson Arena against Top 25 teams, October 12th against Columbia and October 21st against Vanguard. Â

- After hosting MidAmerica Nazerene Universtiy, the Owls are back on the road to play in Atchison, Kansas on September first to play Benedictine College at 6 p.m.Â
