Volleyball Hosts Missouri Valley Wednesday at Anderson Arena

FULTON, Mo. —The William Woods University Volleyball team hosts Missouri Valley College on September 21, at 7 p.m. at Anderson Arena. This is the first match back at home after a 12-match stretch on the road.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls come off a five set victory over College of the Ozarks by scores of 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 29-27, 15-10
- Jessica Jensen leads the Owls with 341 defensive digs ranking her at 7th in the nation.
- Victoria Day leads the Owls in kills at 203. Tory Wiley and Stephanie Davis follow with 196 and 162 kills, respectively.
- Brittney Engelbrecht leads in service aces at 26 in the season and is third in the nation with total assists at 678.
- William Woods ranks in the top ten in three different team rankings this season. The Owls are fifth in the NAIA in digs (1276), seventh in kills (878), and seventh in total assists (802) on the season.
- The Owls overall record is 11-7.
 
About the Vikings
- The Vikings enter Anderson Arena with a win over William Penn (Iowa) University in three, 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.
- Celina Tardin leads the Vikings in total digs with 277 on the season. Tardin is ranked 45th in the NAIA this season.
- Dakota Santore ranks number two in the nation with 297 kills and also ranks 27th in service aces with28.
- Maja Krstonosic leads the Vikings in total assists at 700 in the season and is second in the nation. Currently, she is one of two players over 700 assists on the season.
- The Owls offense is third in the NAIA in kills (943) and fourth in assists (852) this season. They also, rank in the top ten in service aces with 129 on the season.
- The Vikings overall record is 16-5.
 
Game Time Change
Volleyball Fans, please note the game time changes for the Volleyball games this upcoming weekend at Freed-Hardeman University and Central Baptist College. The Owls will face Freed-Hardeman on Friday night at 6 p.m. and Central Baptist at 11 a.m.
 
What's Next
After hosting Missouri Valley College, the Owls are back on the road for an AMC match at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson Tennessee on September, 23 at 6 p.m. After playing at Freed-Hardeman on Friday, the Owls head to Central Baptist for a match on Saturday.
