Men's Basketball Hosts Hannibal-LaGrange Thursday at Anderson Arena

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team returns to Anderson Arena after two road games to host Hannibal-La Grange on Thursday, February 2. Tip-off set at 7:30 p.m.

About the Owls
- The Owls currently have an overall record of 14-9 and are 8-7 in the AMC
- In the Owls last contest, they were defeated by Harris-Stowe, 76-65
- The Owls are ranked 14th in the nation with 183 on the season. Trey Mitchell leads the team with 28 and teammates Brandon Vice and Deon Pettigrew are tied at 19 steals on the season
- The Owls are also ranked 21st in assists with Mitchell leading with 42 assists. Teammates Vice and Jerel Wilhite are tied at 31 assists on the season
- William Woods is averaging 76.8 points per game this season. Leading the way for the Owls is Mitchell who is averaging 15.6 points per game. Torin Washington follows averaging 13.1 points per game and DaShaun Stark and Brandon Vice round out the double-figure scorers averaging 10.5 and 10.2 points per game
- On Monday, Torin Washington was named AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Last week, he averaged 18.5 points, and 10.5 rebounds per game. He shot 43 percent from the field
- Brandon Vice leads the team in rebounding as he is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game. Teammate Torin Washington is right behind averaging 6.7 rebounds per game
- At their last meeting, the Owls defeated the Trojans, 81-79. Jonny Woolf scored 25 points dropping in five of his seven three-point attempts

About the Trojans
- The Trojans currently have an overall record of 7-11 and an AMC record of 4-10
- Hannibal-LaGrange dropped its last game to Freed-Hardeman, who is currently second in the AMC, 67-70
- As a team, the Trojans are making 9.2 three-point field goals per game. This ranks them 14th in the nation
- De'Shawn Terrell ranks 2nd in three-point field goal percentage as he is making 54.3 percent of his threes. Terrell is also ranked 28th in steals per game averaging 1.78 steals
