Pettigrew spent his first two seasons at Drury University... He appeared in 39 games for the Panthers, averaging 3.1 points per game... In his two season, he scored a high of 11 points against William Jewell on Feb. 19th... He shot 44.3 percent from the floor

High School
Pettigrew averaged 14.3 points and 9.2 rebounds at Bellevue as a senior this past winter, when he missed nine games due to injury . . . In his remaining six games after the injury, the versatile guard averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds, including a 22-point, 14-rebound game in his first game back . . . Earned Second Team All-Metro honors his junior season . . . Earned Honorable Mention honors his sophomore season and Second Team All-In the Game honors . . . Helped Bellevue West to a sixth place finish in Class 6A . . . Scored a career high 26 points against Omaha South High School . . . "Deon is a guard who has the ability to score in all three areas . . . he can shoot, drive and score at the rim and also score at mid-range," Hesser said. "He's long, athletic, very skilled and can play everywhere on the floor." . . . Was on the Honor Roll, a DECA Award winner and a FBLA Award winner.

Son of Albert Pettigrew Jr and Gloria Pettigrew-Fletcher... He plans to major in Exercise Science at WWU.
