Game One
Game Flow

The Owls offense had issues stringing hits together going 1-2-3 in the first four innings. The Warriors on the other hand had come out swinging in the first scoring two, and adding another in the second making the score 3-0 in the third.

It was not until the fourth inning until the Owls offense sparked. With two outs, Alli Massey singled to left and teammate Amanda Bouchey reached on a Warrior bobble. With that bobble, Massey came around to score. With Bouchey on third and two outs, Hillary Hentges hits a two-run homerun on a 2-2 count. The Owls scored three runs in the fourth inning and the game was tied at 3-3.

The Owls defense was able to hold the Warriors in the bottom of the fourth and came back to the plate fired up. Dacrie Depping collected a leadoff single and Beth Begemann followed with another single. With runners on first and second, Bouchey singles to left, scoring Depping and advancing Begemann to third base. That would be all the runs scored for the Owls in the fifth, and WWU led 4-3.

Hoping to earn insurance runs, the Owls started the top of the sixth with Alexi Cavins reaching on a walk and Regan Wilde in to pinch run. Olivia Imhoff reached base on a fielder's choice, but Wilde will be thrown out at second. Imhoff puts herself in scoring position by stealing second, and Hannah Campbell reached on a walk. Brailee Schulte reached on a walk, loading the bases for Begemann. Begemann singles to right field and scored Imhoff and Campbell, growing the Owls lead to 6-3.

Bacone would answer back in the bottom of the sixth when Stormie Knowlton startd the Warrior offense with a leadoff single and teammate Rain Thompson doubled to left. After Owl error, Knowlton and Thompson scored, trimming the Owls lead to, 6-5, with no outs. The Owl defense and a pitching change would halt the Warrior threat, and the Owls came away with a 6-5 victory.

The Owls offense was strong right out the gate when Dacrie Depping reached on a walk and teammate Brailee Schulte doubled, advancing Depping to third base, in the top of the first. With runners in scoring position, all it took was a groundout by Begemann to score Depping and advance Schulte. Alli Massey singled to third, which scored Schulte putting the Owls ahead, 2-0. Bouchey came up and singled to center field and Massey advanced to third base. Hillary Hentges collected an RBI single to short, which scored Massey. Alexi Cavins steps up to the plate and hits a double to left field, scoring Bouchey and the Owls were up 4-0 in the first.

Bre Logan would take care of Warrior offense as she struck out three of five batters in the bottom of the first. Bacone would get two runners on base on a Logan walk and hit by pitch but could not advance the runners any farther.

Hannah Campbell doubled in the top of the second to get the Owls rolling. Depping followed by reaching on a wild throw, and on the play Campbell came around to score. Brailee Schulte singled to center, scoring Depping and putting the Owls ahead 6-0. The Owls would score one more run in the third, and lead 7-0, after three innings of play.
