FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to 13 games after defeating Williams Baptist University, 4-0, on Tuesday evening. The win pushed its winning streak to three games.
The Owls used a strong first half, as they scored three goals to take an early lead against the Eagles. WWU had four different Players score a goal in the win and outshot the Eagles, 21-4 in the match.
WWU returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 20th when they host Park University. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday is Senior Day for the Owls and WWU will honor its seniors prior to the match.
Game Flow
The Owls looked to score early in the contest as
Zachary Baliva had a shot 15 seconds into the match, that was saved by Alejandro Perez. Five minutes later, the Owls scored its first goal of the game.

Tres Caroo, who scored for the Owls putting WWU ahead 1-0.
The Owls continued to put pressure on the Eagles defense as they continued to attack. The Owls
Luca Crivellari had a shot that went off the crossbar and the Owls next shot by Baliva was off the post, keeping the Owls lead at 1-0.
With just under 19 minutes to go in the first half, WWU grew its lead to 2-0.
Ethan Roth found
Victor Faure for a goal. Nine minutes later, after the Eagles were called for a foul, the Owls set up for a free kick.
Billy Nzojyibwami lined up to take the kick and he found
Wessel Albers to the right who beat the goal growing the lead to 3-0, which would be the halftime score.
After going shotless in the first half, Williams Baptist attempted a shot that went wide. Three minutes later Giovanni Souza had a shot that
Iker Gonzalez saved keeping the Owls ahead 3-0.
The Owls continued to look to grow its lead as Faure had a shot he took that went off the crossbar. The Owls continued to put shots wide or high of goal and continued to lead 3-0 until there was 21:59 left in the match. Caroo found Nzojyibwami who beat the Eagles goalie growing the lead to 4-0.
WWU continued to put pressure on the Eagles defense but the Owls again found the crossbar as
Yamac Aytekin hit it this time. The Owls defense did not let the Eagles score and the Owls came away with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday night.
