FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team returns to action Saturday morning as they face the Pirates of Park University. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Firely Field.

About Park
The Pirates (9-3, 8-2 AMC), enter the contest coming off a 4-1 loss to Columbia. Before the loss to the Cougars, they were on a seven game winning streak.

So far this season, the Pirates have had 11 players record a goal. Lenvix Ochieng leads all scorers with 19 goals on the season. Park has tallied n 50 goals on the season and have only allowed their opponents 14. They have also recorded 152 shots on goal and have held their opponents to 48.Â

Last time against the Pirates
WWU faced Park in their final regular season game on October 25th. The match ended in 2-2 double overtime draw.
Aurora Henriksen scored both goals for the Owls. The two teams matched up again later that season in the 2017 AMC Conference Tournament on November 6th. William Woods advanced on penalty kicks winning 7-6.

The first meeting of these two teams happened on October 7, 1989 when the Pirates defeated the Owls 1-0. Since then, they have matched up against each other 36 times. Park currently holds a 25-9-2 series lead.

WWU (9-5-1, 7-1-1 AMC) enter the contest looking for their 10th win of the season. They are coming off a 10-0 shutout over Williams Baptist.

A win over the Pirates will give the Owls their 10th win on the season as well as their 7th home win at Firley Field.
AMC Tournament
The Owls are one of seven teams that have clinched an AMC Postseason Tournament Berth. The top eight teams reached the AMC Quarterfinals, which start at Nov. 2nd. The top four seed host a quarterfinal matchup. Currently, the Owls have 22 points and are four points out of first.

What's Next
The Owls will close out the 2018 regular season contest with two straight road games. On Oct. 23rd, WWU travels to Lindenwood University-Belleville for an AMC match. On Oct. 26th, WWU faces Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. Both games are 4:30 p.m. starts.
