COLUMBIA, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team fell 2-1 Friday night to Columbia College.
Luca Crivellari scored the only goal for the Owls in the contest.

William Woods had nine players attempt a shot on the night.
Billy Nzojyibwami led the way with 3 shot attempts of his own.

Game Flow
The First few minutes of the half were very slow. It was not until 10-minutes off the clock that
Billy Nzojyibwami attempted a shot for the Owls that missed wide of the goal. 2-minutes later,
Jon Buerge attempted a shot, but it was blocked by Adam Du Toit.

William Woods were the aggressors early on in the first half with another shot attempt coming from
Darren Wilson that missed wide of the goal.

Finally , after 43 minutes of playing time, Mako Makoanyane attempted a shot for Columbia but it would miss wide of the goal and keep the score tied 0-0.

Neither team would attempt a shot and they would walk into halftime tied 0-0.

After a later first half start, the Cougars began the second half in attack mode. 3-minutes into the half, Adrian Severa attempted a shot, but it would be blocked by William Woods.

The Cougars would attempt another shot at the 33:53 mark when Du Toit's attempted was blocked by the Owls. Immediately following Du Toit's shot, Lesia Thetsane attempted a shot that missed wide of the goal.

Midway through the half,
Alberto Pitarch looked to score the first goal of the game and give the Owls the lead but would be denied by Cougars goalkeeper Ryan Harrisskitt.

At the 25:36 mark, the Cougars lead increased to 2-0 when William Woods scored on their own goal.

Behind by 2,
Luca Crivellari connected on his attempt and put the Owls on the board and gave Columbia a 2-1 advantage.
The Owls would attempt a few more shots but did not connect on any and would fall to Columbia 2-1.
